YouTube – The Next Level

I’ve decided to alter my blogging schedule. I’ll continue to post every Friday. However, every Wednesday I’m going to try and Videoblog myself. I want to put YouTube through its paces.

Discovering that WordPress.Com added YouTube support I decided to sign up. Leaching of my school’s T1 line I uploaded all my my videos.

Monday-Finals-I-Have

No, I’m not an immigrant with a poor concept of the english language, nor a citizen with a poor concept of English. That’s just American Sign Language grammar. I’ve got finals Monday and Tuesday. My ASL final is Tuesday, and will incorporate some large quantity of worlds, in addition I’ll have a presentation in English on Monday. Other than that finals really won’t affect me too much. I got my History finals done with today, it wasn’t too bad. Although I can’t help but notice that there weren’t very many questions on the Civil War. Considering we’d just covered it I figured it would. Oh well.

The internet is an interesting place. Google is starting to spiral down a little. I read their article/confession on the China incident. Although it makes sense, I’m still not sure I’m comfortable with the filtering of an entire narions internet.

Remember the schedule that I made with the anime and the gaming? Haven’t started it yet. I will, really. At the moment I’m watching Stargate: Atlantis. I never picked up on the original series, but Atlantis is cooler anyway.

I don’t have a cool link today.

Podcasting, again?

I was considering getting my podcast going again. I’ll talk to James about it later. Everyone has a headset, I’ve got a professionally hosted site with tons of bandwidth, the only thing holding me back is time. Plus, the Anime Review thing was cool, but I want more, I just don’t know what. I’ll mull it over and throw up some ideas and updates on the matter later.

Ciao.

I’ll get into the groove of a Friday update, I promise. In the meantime I’ll be withing 3 days of Friday. All-in-all that isn’t too bad.

Dulak, my HuG/IS/life teacher locked down the forums with some more security. My dad and I were talking about this. One the one hand the itnernet is a scary place. And with www.myspace.com, www.livejournal.com , www.friendster.com, and other SSP (Shameless Self Promotion) sites around stalkers have a plethora of oppertunity to stalk. That being said I must quote an old friend of mine “Those who would sacrifice essential liberties for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” I don’t have a problem with the new security. As long as it stays where it is. Dulak has proven herself to be awesome though, and I trust she won’t go crazy Nazi.

I decided that my schedule is awesome. Before it goes into effect tomorrow I tried to get as much Chobits out of the way as I could. I have to find my 0083 DVD’s before I can watch them! I’m pretty sure they’re just buried under my other DVD’s. Man would I love to have Mobile Suit Gundam, but alas there are no fansubs and the DVD’s are expensive. On the note of Videos, AVI’s, and Codecs, I decided to switch BACK to the CCCP (The codec pack, not the Soviet Union) and to install XviD seperatly. I also got AVI2DVD to work, and taught myself some simple Avisynth script so that I can convert DVD to AVI.

I figured out a way to convert my entire house to one wireless G WPA-encrypted access point. I moved the router to my mom’s office, ran two Cat5 cables through the wall, one to the router from the modem, and the other to the router from a switch in my room. Everything works great. My PC is on 100mb, as is my web server. The laptop connects anywhere in the house, as do Karl’s laptops. My mom’s PC is plugged directly into the router. Such wireless freedom is indeed a joy. I can watch anime without skipping anywhere in the house. I’m thinking of building a dedicated fileserver, a few SATA drives on RAID. If only I had any money. Anyone interested in buying a 6600 GT Pci-E 16X graphics card?

Cool Link: Trillian

Trillian is a cool Multi-protocol IM client. I’m looking into Gaim 2.0 as well, but as it stands the interface sucks in comparison to Trillian.

Anime, bittorrent, ASL? Oh… My?

Hey everyone! I just got done filming myself going all around my house for an ASL project. I realized that my camera doesn’t get used enough, so I’m going to change that. I did some investigation on some forums and found some people interesting in helping me. Now we need to do it, so, I’m going to launch the most awesomest (Not a word, bite me) way to write a script ever! You’ll just have to wait and see.

Next up is anime. I really need to start watching more. And so I shall. I’m venturing back into the world of fansubs. Yes, they’re legal :P . Comic Party is something I’m interested in, as well as tracking down the Ah! My Goddess OVA’s and Movie. That’ll give me something to party over. It’s still my life-long goal to find Mobile Suit Gundam, so I can finish the damn series.

I’ve decided to desginate my gaming (And Anime) schedule as following, effective next week:
Monday: Battlefield 2 & Expansion ( Tekkaman blade)
Tuesday: Call of Duty 2 (Chobits)
Wednesday: Age of Empires III (gundam 0083)
Thursday: Civilization IV (Gundam 0080)
Friday: Face Of Mankind + Whatever else (Free)

Weekend: Freeform (Free)

This is undoubtly one of the BEST Bittorrent programs there is. Version 1.4 adds RSS support.

The gig is up!

I’ve decided that, it being almost a month since I last posted, I will update on a Friday schedule. With every post I’ll include a cool webpick, usually to a piece of software that I use.

Alright. Battlefield 2. I bought it, I play it. My name is T8y8. Come good things about the game:

  • It carries on in BF tradition, weapons, vheicles, and a good mix of kits and uses for those kits
  • A commander may call in support and issue orders
  • Squad-Systems with their own squad leaders allow for flexability
  • Combat is relativly realistic.
  • Overall fun game play

At the same time I can’t help but raise the negative:

  • The expansion is cool, but the engineer remains unupgraded.
  • Insane loads times
  • Insane Post-load verification-times
  • Those who are good completely own those who are new. It’s almost unfair. Sometimes suspicious

That’s all I’ve got to say for now.
